Giving Back

Wednesday, March 29th, 2017

At the start of the new year, we here at Rhino Shield talked about how giving back to local charities was a part of our New Year’s Resolution. And we’re sticking to it! One of our favorite local charities is the Society of St. Vincent de Paul. And although it’s a Catholic-based organization, volunteers don’t have to be Catholic to take part!

According the Society’s web page, “members of the Society of St.Vincent de Paul (or “Vincentians” ) are men and women who strive to grow spiritually by offering person-to-person service to individuals in need. We are young and old. Our members come in every shade of skin color. Some of us are wealthy, some are financially poor, but all of us are blessed with an awareness that our blessings (time, talent or treasure) are to be shared with our brothers and sisters in need.”

One Saturday out of each month, Rhino Shield employees volunteer their time at the St. Vincent de Paul Society, giving back to those in need. You can too! All you have to do is visit their website to find out how to volunteer, or donate to your local St. Vincent de Paul Society. They have drop off locations and thrift stores all across the United States. Simply shopping at a thrift store near you, can help those in your community get back on their feet.

The Saint Vincent de Paul Society has raised millions of dollars, with volunteers donating over ten million hours of community service to those in need. We’re proud to be a part of such an outstanding organization! What charity’s are your favorite? Because this one is one of ours.

Financing

Wednesday, February 22nd, 2017

It’s hard to believe that we’re already heading into March. It seems like Christmas was just yesterday, not only for us, but for our wallets too. Getting into the spirit of giving is easy, but sometimes it can be pretty difficult to recover from all the Winter holidays and festivities.

As Spring approaches, new expenses start to arise. And many times those expenses come in the form of home maintenance. Luckily, Rhino Shield has plenty of options for financing to make your life just a little bit easier!

When it comes to your finances, we want you to not only feel comfortable, but confident in your choice to choose Rhino Shield by Georgia Coatings. Because of that, we offer our customers three, six, and even twelve month same as cash options. These options include zero percent interest with approval. We also offer regular installment loans (subject to credit approval). And last but not least, we take the ever so popular credit card including Visa, Discover, Master Card, and American Express.

We know that life can be stressful sometimes. The most unexpected circumstances can come at the most unexpected times. Because of this unfortunately, our homes tend to fall to the back burner. Rhino Shield makes it easy for our customers to make their home a priority. After all, your home is most likely the biggest investment you’ll ever make.

Rhino Shield by Georgia Coatings Continues Award Streak

Wednesday, January 25th, 2017

Each year the Rhino Shield Enterprise, made up of over thirty dealers covering all fifty states, hosts The Champion’s Trip for its top performing branches. To qualify for the trip, dealers must order enough product, and maintain a high volume of annual sales. Rhino Shield by Georgia Coatings has qualified for the trip every year for the last sixteen years since opening in 2009.

This year the trip was held in Montego Bay, Jamaica at the Hotel Rui Palace and we couldn’t have had a better time! After a long year of hard work, it was nice to enjoy a little fun in the sun, fellowship, and camaraderie with our fellow dealers all across the country.

Rhino Shield is an outstanding company that produces incredible products. We are honored to be a part of such an outstanding, reputable brand and even more humbled to have been named the number two volume producing Rhino Shield dealer in the country. What an accomplishment!

In addition, Rhino Shield by Georgia Coatings was awarded with both the 2016 Rhino Shield Gold Quality Award and the 2016 Rhino Shield Growth Award, two awards we have received every year since 2009. The Gold Quality Award, one given to only those branches who have maintained an A rating with both the Better Business Bureau and Angie’s List, is one award we are incredibly proud of.

Here at Rhino Shield, it is our goal to provide our customers with the best products and best customer service in the industry. We strive to make each year better than the one before! We are so excited to see what 2017 has in store for us and our amazing customers. If the exterior of your home is in need of a pick me up, give us a call. These awards really do speak for themselves!

Rhino Shield Cost Comparison

Wednesday, November 30th, 2016

Over the last several months we’ve noticed you, our customers, searching for the cost of Rhino Shield. Although it varies drastically from one home to another, we wanted to let you know that we’ve heard you and we’re here to give you the best answer possible!

There are several different products that go hand in hand with the exterior of your home. Among these are vinyl siding, paint, and coating products. Rhino Shield falls into the latter of the three. Each product varies in price point. Vinyl siding can be extremely costly, whereas paint products fall on the lower end of the spectrum. Rhino Shield’s price point lies somewhere in between.

Our average sized project usually has an interior square footage of approximately 2600 square feet. A complete exterior coating on these homes usually range from $10,000-18,000. This is subject to the design and layout of the home. Not every home is the same, which is why the cost can vary significantly. We understand that this can be a huge investment in your home’s exterior, but here at Rhino Shield, we provide our customers with the best products and customer service available. Our products offer benefits that our competitor’s products do not.

Rhino Shield has a proven product that resists fading and is safe for the environment. We even carry a 25-Year Warranty. Investing in our exterior coating prevents costly maintenance by eliminating the need to repaint. Not only does our coating make your home look refreshed, renewed, and absolutely stunning, it keeps it looking that way for years to come.

Rhino Shield Ceramic Coating is durable, flexible, and low maintenance. It resists water penetration, and can provide you and your home with insulation benefits. It can even alleviate the stress that comes from outside noise. Our coating provides fire resistance, UV blockers, mildewcides, and algeacides, aiding in the protection of you and your home.

Vinyl sidings can be extremely pricey, but Rhino Shield has managed to beat out nearly every vinyl siding estimate out there! Vinyl also has several drawbacks. It tends to dent easily, and absorb pigments, making panel replacement nearly impossible. Regular paint, while less expensive, tends to fade fast and peel easily. Rhino Shield adds value to your home, and keeps it looking fresh and new for twenty five years. We know that you won’t be disappointed with out products, so give us a call and get your estimate today!

Unique Color Schemes

Thursday, October 6th, 2016

There are 7.5 billion people in the world, and no two people are exactly the alike. We all have different personalities and different interests. Our favorite foods differ, favorite music, favorite television shows, and even favorite colors. We all have unique styles, especially when it comes to our homes.

In certain neighborhoods the exterior of the homes tend to resemble one another. They share similar features, and similar hues. Many times, homes in these types of neighborhoods, often those with HOA (Home Owner Associations), have certain rules and regulations residents must abide by. Where we see the real uniqueness in those types of neighborhoods is in the interior of the homes.

But luckily, in several neighborhoods, as well as free standing homes on extensive amounts of land, homeowners have to ability to show off their unique style even on their home’s exterior. We’ve had two creative home owners who have gone off the beaten path when it comes to colors, and the results are impressive. Both are incredibly happy with how things turned out, and we couldn’t be more excited for them!

As you can see, our first house was rather bland and ultimately quite standard, but the owners spruced it up with a splash of blue that has them swooning.

The owners were so thrilled, they even called in to their local radio station to speak to Kimmer about the Rhino Shield product. Who would have known a little blue trim could go a long way!

Our second client’s home went from dark and drab to bright and bold. This unique yellow is not one you often see, but boy does make a statement!

Maintaining Rhino Shield

Tuesday, August 2nd, 2016

Are you the proud owner of a Rhino Shield home? If so, you are one smart cookie. Our exterior coating is guaranteed to last for 25 years, and that means one less worry for you for a minimum of two decades. So let that weight be lifted off your shoulders, and breathe. With some simple maintenance tasks, your home will look good and stay looking good for years to come.

Cleaning Your Rhino Shield Exterior Paint

Rhino Shield is designed to resist mold and mildew, however a periodic bath is recommended for double the protection against harmful elements. This will help keep your home looking fresh, bright and new year after year after year. Occasionally checking your home’s horizontal surfaces such as handrails and windowsills helps to avoid any staining caused by harmful elements left on those surfaces for an extended period of time. TSP soap, liquid Dawn dish soap, and LA’s Totally Awesome work especially well to remove dirt, springtime pollen, and other harmful elements in the air that tend to settle on horizontal surfaces. Applying soap, and rinsing with a strong nozzle or garden hose is all that is needed to remove surface debris on the exterior of your home. If you’re busy running around like the rest of us, Rhino Shield will be happy to provide this service for you. Just give us a call!

Basic Maintenance Tips for Rhino Shield Paint Coating

There are several other small maintenance tasks that you can perform to ensure your Rhino Shield coating is performing to the best of its ability. Periodically checking for openings in the caulk joints and around windows, doors, trim, and siding will help catch any problem before they start. It’s also important to prevent any sort of ponding of water around door frames or siding located in low areas. Keeping both your roof and gutter areas in working order is essential in maintaining your home’s exterior appearance and functionality. This holds true to your shrubs, trees, and plants as well. Make sure landscaping is a minimum of one foot away from the siding and trim of your home at all times. Making sure your siding and trim are at least 6-8 inches from the ground is also important. If it’s below those 6 inches, it allows easy access for insects and water to enter your home from underneath. And as silly as it may sound, Mr. Clean cleaning squares are a perfect solution to clean up any clay stains that may have made their way to areas on your home.

Rhino Shield Maintenance from Our Experts

These easy steps can help maintain your home’s beauty for an extended amount of time. In rare cases though, small areas on the surface can open up upon movement of your home. This usually happens during the change of seasons. You may notice areas where there are separations in the caulk or sealant on your home’s exterior. If this happens, call Rhino Shield immediately for a free home inspection. There is usually an easy solution to the problem, and can be easily fixed during the inspection process.

We are here to help, and we want you to be satisfied with our product. If you ever have any questions or concerns, feel free to give us a call, and we will gladly come out and provide you with a free home inspection. We want Rhino Shield to give you the performance you expect, because after all, our quality is what we pride ourselves on!

It’s hard to believe, but Rhino Shield has been on the market for almost fifteen years now! Over the years we’ve evolved and expanded. And although a lot has changed, one thing has remained the same, our “A” Rating with the Better Business Bureau, as well as our stellar ratings on Angie’s List.

It would be nearly impossible for any company to maintain such high ratings if the products and services promised did not actually work. Our product though, not only meets our customer’s expectations, but exceeds them, and we could not be more proud!

Because of this, we offer a twenty five year written warranty on any flaking, peeling, or blistering of our product. What regular paint can’t withstand, Rhino Shield can for a minimum of twenty five years! Now that is a powerful promise! And our customers are loving it!

When Is It Time To Repaint House Siding?

Sunday, July 12th, 2015

house-with-hardiplankWhen do you think it’s time to repaint your house siding?

The standard answer you’ll hear is “every 5 to 15 years” but that is a wide and optimistic margin. Consider some variables:

What climate do you live in? If you reside in a coastal area such as Savannah GA, your home will weather quickly from salt-sea air, semitropical heat and some violent storms with high winds. An average acrylic paint would protect your house siding for only a short few years. Repainting every three to five years is not unusual.

If you live in the mountains, ice and snow can ruin an exterior finish almost as quickly as coastal weather. Regions of north Georgia and Tennessee are also notorious for extremes of winter cold and then summer heat. This causes standard acrylic paints to continually shrink and expand. The acrylic paints don’t have the elasticity to do that without cracking.

Another factor to consider is the composition of the exterior substrate.  Log cabins must be repainted or stained every three years to seal and protect the wood. And stucco cracks easily, requiring repainting more often than brick or Hardi-plank. Stucco tends to require repainting every six years.

How old is the home? The house siding may have many coats of old paint that make it appear ‘lumpy and bumpy.’ The oldest layers have long ago lost their elasticity and adherence to the substrate. They have broken down into pieces that flake or peel off, leaving the home vulnerable to weathering and mold. If you have a home like this, the time to repaint is now!

In fact, any time you see signs of cracking, peeling or flaking, the time to repaint your house siding is now.

This time choose Rhino Shield ceramic coating for 25 years of protection. The ceramic micro-particles bond more strongly to the substrate, they go on thicker and protect better, and they have an elastomeric property that allows them to expand and contract with extremes of weather. You can’t go wrong with Rhino Shield. Call Georgia Coatings at 877-678-2054 to get more details.

Rhino Shield Ceramic Paint Protects Southern Homes

Friday, March 27th, 2015

knoxville Whether you live in Knoxville, Tennessee, Atlanta or Savannah, Georgia, or Hilton Head, South Carolina, when you need painting contractors for your residence, we have you protected with the very best exterior ceramic paint for your treasured home.

Rhino Shield ceramic paint is versatile enough to manage the extremes of weather that are experienced throughout these areas without cracking, peeling or fading. It consists of durable reflective ceramic beads, elastomeric (bendable) sealers, microbicides, algaecides and fungicides that fend off the sun’s harsh rays in Atlanta, endure high winds and stormy tropical weather in Savannah and Hilton Head, and yet also can gallantly stand up to snow and wood rot that occurs in the humid mountain regions of Knoxville, Asheville and Chattanooga.

Rhino Shield ceramic paint beats out Sherwin Williams and Turtle Coat for better protection of your home investment wherever you live. It can be used on almost any surface – from wood to Hardy Plank to metal – for complete protection from the elements.

With the dramatic summer thunder and lightning that occurs in mountainous regions such as Knoxville and Asheville, it is important to know that Rhino Shield is also Class ‘A’ fire rated. That means it has received the highest rating possible by an independent lab in accordance with U.S. Building Code standards. In short, flames do not spread quickly. Rhino Shield ceramic paint has a rating 0-25 on the Flame Spread Index (with asbestos rating 0 and redwood rating 100) to give your home the most fire protective coating possible.

We have a large territory to cover, but with five offices throughout the Southern states, we can have a team of professional painting contractors come out to weather-protect your house in a short time.
