2021 Color of the Year Winners

Spring is right around the corner, and with the warmer weather comes a new season! Spring tends to bring life back to your home. Fresh blooms, green trees, and countless home projects are sure to fill the calendar. That means it’s the perfect time to give your home the fresh coat of paint it so desperately needs. We’ve offered suggestions in the past on how to get started with the paint picking process, but now we want to offer some color suggestions from the experts themselves. Below is a list of the 2021 Color of the Year picks by some of the leading names in the industry!

Benjamin Moore - Aegean Teal 2136-40

Sherwin Williams - Urbane Bronze SW 7048

Farrow & Ball - Sap Green W56
Farrow & Ball - Sap Green W56

Other notable colors of the year include Minwax’s Vintage Blue, Pantone’s Illuminating Yellow and Ultimate Gray, Rust-Oleum’s Satin Paprika, and HGTV Home’s Passionate. While several of these colors would be great accent colors for a front door or shutters, our pick for siding goes to Sherwin Williams Urbane Gray! It’s a dark, moody color that has a timeless feel you’re sure to love for years to come.

If you’re located on the coast though, you have a bit more flexibility when it comes to exterior paint colors. Dark and moody most likely isn’t going to fit the look of your home, so we recommend going with something a little more light and bright like Behr’s Canyon Dusk. We also love Sherwin Williams color Creamy with accents such as Farrow & Ball’s Sap Green, or Benjamin Moore’s Aegean Teal. Behr’s Canyon Dusk would also make an adorable front door color in conjunction with Sherwin Williams’ Creamy. The possibilities truly are endless!
