What is Rhino Shield?
Rhino Shield Ceramic Coating is a durable, flexible maintenance-free wall coating with micro-ceramic particles that extend the life of the coating for many years. It is a 100% acrylic waterborne, high build formula that waterproofs, insulates, reduces the sun's harmful UVA rays, resists salt, and soundproofs. Innovative technology combines elastomeric acrylic resins with urethane resins, resulting in a flexible but tough surface that withstands most weather.

Has Rhino Shield been tested by an independent lab?
BASF, one of the largest and most respected chemical companiesin the world, has performed several rounds of testing on Rhino Shield. Rhino Shield excels at flexibility, tear resistance, tensile strength, breathability, and viscosity. Additionally, BASF performed an accelerated aging test. Rhino Shield passed the test, showing no visible signs of aging, and was still an elastomeric product.
Do your installers remove lead-based paint from my home? Are your installers certified to remove lead-based paints from a home?
The best job is built on a solid and safe foundation. Yes, our installers are equipped to remove existing lead-based paint safely without harming the environment. In addition we provide minor repairs to the surface before applying Rhino Shield.
Is Rhino Shield fire resistant?
Rhino Shield has a Class 'A' fire and smoke rating. In some areas of the country prone to wildfires, buildings with a Class 'A' fire rating may qualify for a discount on their homeowners insurance.
Can Rhino Shield be used on historical homes?

Can I purchase Rhino Shield directly and apply myself or use my local paint contractor?
No. The Rhino Shield system must be installed by one of our certified installers. Our Exterior painters have received extensive expert training on how to prepare a building for Rhino Shield and also how to apply the product correctly. We’re not able to offer such an extensive product warranty without assurance that preparation and installation will be done by our contract painter.
