Curb Appeal and How Rhino Shield Can Give New Life to Your Home

Thursday, October 26th, 2017

Curb appeal is one of the most important factors in selling a home, because well…first impressions are EVERYTHING. If a home’s exterior isn’t appealing, people’s desire to view the inside drops significantly, resulting in a tough sell for the homeowner. After all, a home’s exterior serves as a snapshot of it’s interior.

Here are a few hints to maintaining your home’s curb appeal:

  1. Rid your home’s exterior of clutter, trash, and junk.
  2. Pressure wash once a year. It will keep your home looking fresh and bright.
  3. Landscape. (Meaning mow your lawn, trim your hedges, and maybe add a flower box or two. They’re trendy…thank you Chip and Joanna Gaines.)
  4. Inspect your roof. Make sure it isn’t missing any shingles and give it a good cleaning now and then.
  5. As silly as it sounds, make your house numbers noticeable and simpatico with your home’s style.
  6. Keep your home’s entryway clean and cobweb free.
  7. Make sure your home is free of chipped paint, scratches, and cracks.
  8. Open up your blinds, and make sure your drapery goes just as well with your home’s exterior as they do it’s interior.
  9. Add a cute welcome mat and light fixture on the porch.
  10. And if all else fails, give your exterior a fresh coat of paint. Even better, give it Rhino Shield’s exterior coating!

We have long lasting colors that will stay fresh for years! Your home will be the best looking house on the block. With Rhino Shield,  you can’t go wrong!

With hundreds of colors to choose from, and a twenty five year guarantee, what do you have to lose? Give us a call today at 678) 205-4500 and give your home the curb appeal you’ve been longing for!

Rhino Shield Transformations

Wednesday, June 21st, 2017

Rhino Shield has been busy all across the country brightening, rejuvenating, and giving hundreds of home’s an exterior coating that will last for the next twenty five years. Our extraordinary coating product can be applied to stucco, hardiplank, masonite, LP, brick, block, or trim. The options are endless. Just look at the difference in this gorgeous cedar home in Dallas, Georgia.

Something that was once dark, worn, and slightly weathered from years of love by Mother Nature, was brought back to life with a simple color change and a coating unlike any other.

Rhino Shield by Georgia Coatings serves much of the Southeast including Georgia, South Carolina, and Tennessee. We are incredibly versatile and love a good challenge. With several projects going on at once, we’re always busy. Currently, Rhino Shield is working on a lead removal project in Athens, Georgia.

There’s a lot that goes into safely removing lead paint from the exterior of a home. Our client and crew’s well being is of the upmost importance to us here at Rhino Shield. Thorough preparation, meticulous attention to detail, and a safety oriented focus on the job site plays a crucial role in the success of a project. And things are rolling right along in Athens.

Once the lead paint is removed, we’ll be able to start applying our exterior coating, bringing this gorgeous colonial home back to life. Check back with us towards the end of the month for updates and after pictures of this uniquely picturesque home!

Rhino Shield is proud of the work we do and the transformations we create for homes all across Georgia, South Carolina, and Tennessee. If your home is in need of a transformation, give us a call. We’ll be happy to help!

Say Goodbye to Pollen

Wednesday, May 31st, 2017

Pollen season has finally come to an end and if you’re anything like us, we’re more than pleased to say goodbye to runny noses, sore throats, and itchy eyes. We can even take our car to get washed without worrying weather or not it will turn yellow again the next day!

What many of us fail to realize though, is that it’s not just people that are affected by pollen, it’s our homes too! Now is the perfect time to get out there and power wash your home. Powering washing should be done once a year to keep your home looking fresh and clean.

Power washing the surface of your home helps free it of dirt, mold, and mildew. It also helps get rid of tannin stains caused by surrounding trees, leaves, and sticks, as well as rubber marks from tires, oil, and irrigation rust. All these things can cause serious health risks for you and your family, so a yearly cleaning benefits you as much as it does your home.

Power washing helps maintain the value of your home, and in some cases can even increase the value of your property. It’s the easiest and most affordable way to maintain your home’s value for future sales. If you’re short on time, like so many of us are these days, check out the pressure washing services near you. Georgia has a ton of options including:

JPS Handyman

Oh Improvements & Painting

DA Kirkland Contracting

Dillard Construction

Proview Window Cleaning Services

Foreman Roofing and Repairs

M&C Pressure Washing

Russel Property Services

If you’re an existing customer, contact Rhino Shield for a quote on power washing and any questions you may have about cleaning the exterior of your home! We’ll be happy to help.

Giving Back

Wednesday, March 29th, 2017

At the start of the new year, we here at Rhino Shield talked about how giving back to local charities was a part of our New Year’s Resolution. And we’re sticking to it! One of our favorite local charities is the Society of St. Vincent de Paul. And although it’s a Catholic-based organization, volunteers don’t have to be Catholic to take part!

According the Society’s web page, “members of the Society of St.Vincent de Paul (or “Vincentians” ) are men and women who strive to grow spiritually by offering person-to-person service to individuals in need. We are young and old. Our members come in every shade of skin color. Some of us are wealthy, some are financially poor, but all of us are blessed with an awareness that our blessings (time, talent or treasure) are to be shared with our brothers and sisters in need.”

One Saturday out of each month, Rhino Shield employees volunteer their time at the St. Vincent de Paul Society, giving back to those in need. You can too! All you have to do is visit their website to find out how to volunteer, or donate to your local St. Vincent de Paul Society. They have drop off locations and thrift stores all across the United States. Simply shopping at a thrift store near you, can help those in your community get back on their feet.

The Saint Vincent de Paul Society has raised millions of dollars, with volunteers donating over ten million hours of community service to those in need. We’re proud to be a part of such an outstanding organization! What charity’s are your favorite? Because this one is one of ours.
