Beautify For Spring With Rhino Shield Colors

Friday, May 1st, 2015

swatch_booklet Homeowners are outdoors in full force, cleaning up yards and landscaping for Spring. Now is the best time to spruce up your home’s exterior coating as well with an all new color scheme. Rhino Shield ceramic paint coating comes in an enormous assortment of 1,500 beautiful colors, from soft to bold to adventurous. What’s more, Georgia Coatings can match any color swatch from other paint companies such as Sherwin Williams and Behr.

Typically, residential home paint uses a palette of at least three colors that complement each other: a main one for siding, a deeper ‘signature’ color for doors and/or shutters, plus a quieter, more neutral shade for trim and gutters. If you are unsure what to choose, check out some of the combinations we feature on our website or have one of our Georgia Coatings professionals help out.

Start with the neighborhood. Note what residential home paint combinations your neighbors use. It is important to check your community covenant to see if there are limits to your choices.

Also, look at the locale. Soft greens and browns blend in nicely with the mountainous scenery near our Asheville, North Carolina or Knoxville and Chattanooga, Tennessee offices. Light, cool pastels and white residential home paint do better reflect the summer heat in coastal regions near our Savannah, Georgia and Hilton Head, South Carolina offices. Light colors there help to keep cooling bills lower, because dark colors absorb more wavelengths of light (thus heat), while light colors reflect the light.

Red brick commonly used in Atlanta and all over Georgia presents a special challenge that can be handled in one of three ways:
1) Tone down the red with soft whites and gray-toned neutrals;
2) Paint over it. Rhino Shield ceramic paint coating covers brick surfaces like a champ;
3) Go dramatic with black and white or other strong colors to match the intensity of the red brick.

If your objective is to sell the home, choose light neutrals which make a home appear larger and more cheery. Our Rhino Shield ceramic paint coating comes with a 25 year transferable warranty, which can also be a great selling point.

You can count on Georgia Coatings professionals to do an efficient and beautiful job. We always re-confirm the colors before applying. Give us a call. We’d be happy to tell you more.

Atlanta Home Improvement Interviews Jeff Ecklund

Wednesday, April 1st, 2015

Atlanta Home Show This week Atlanta Home Improvement online magazine airs a video in their “Show Stoppers” series highlighting some of the best exhibitors at last month’s Spring Atlanta Home Show.

In a nearly five minute interview, Georgia Coatings owner Jeff Ecklund explains why he is thrilled to use Rhino Shield ceramic coating in his business, and how he speaks from personal experience as a home-owner.

Ceramic coating is a thicker coating than paint, it is heat-resistant, with a Low E rating, meaning that heat bounces off of it, and it blocks out UV rays.

Ecklund says coating your home with Rhino Shield is like putting a layer of siding on it. Your home’s electric bills can be reduced by as much as 35% to 45%, making Rhino Shield a great investment for years to come. Georgia Coatings renews home exteriors throughout Georgia and the southeast. Watch Jeff at http://www.atlantahomeimprovement.com/blog/atlanta-exterior-painting-and-coating-company-rhino-shield.

Rhino Shield Ceramic Paint Protects Southern Homes

Friday, March 27th, 2015

knoxville Whether you live in Knoxville, Tennessee, Atlanta or Savannah, Georgia, or Hilton Head, South Carolina, when you need painting contractors for your residence, we have you protected with the very best exterior ceramic paint for your treasured home.

Rhino Shield ceramic paint is versatile enough to manage the extremes of weather that are experienced throughout these areas without cracking, peeling or fading. It consists of durable reflective ceramic beads, elastomeric (bendable) sealers, microbicides, algaecides and fungicides that fend off the sun’s harsh rays in Atlanta, endure high winds and stormy tropical weather in Savannah and Hilton Head, and yet also can gallantly stand up to snow and wood rot that occurs in the humid mountain regions of Knoxville, Asheville and Chattanooga.

Rhino Shield ceramic paint beats out Sherwin Williams and Turtle Coat for better protection of your home investment wherever you live. It can be used on almost any surface – from wood to Hardy Plank to metal – for complete protection from the elements.

With the dramatic summer thunder and lightning that occurs in mountainous regions such as Knoxville and Asheville, it is important to know that Rhino Shield is also Class ‘A’ fire rated. That means it has received the highest rating possible by an independent lab in accordance with U.S. Building Code standards. In short, flames do not spread quickly. Rhino Shield ceramic paint has a rating 0-25 on the Flame Spread Index (with asbestos rating 0 and redwood rating 100) to give your home the most fire protective coating possible.

We have a large territory to cover, but with five offices throughout the Southern states, we can have a team of professional painting contractors come out to weather-protect your house in a short time. Go to the About Us tab on our website and scroll down to Service Areas to see a map and find the office closest to you.

The Best House Siding Option Is Rhino Shield

Friday, March 6th, 2015

1-house-painter As warmer weather approaches, homeowners in Alpharetta and metro Atlanta, Georgia, are coming out of their homes to begin Spring cleaning. This is the time to spruce up your home’s exterior before it becomes “Hotlanta” again.

Your home siding may have gotten weather-worn with dull, cracked or chipped paint, “that green stuff” and rust stains, or even portions of Hardy Plank that may have broken off. This is the time of year when you hear advertisements for replacing your home’s exterior with new siding, but that’s a costly mistake. The best house siding option is not new siding, but a new application of Rhino Shield ceramic coating house paint.

Rhino Shield’s ceramic coating house paint is made of tiny ceramic microbeads in an emulsion that is 8 to 10 times thicker than ordinary paint. These beads retain their color for a bright finish lasting decades. They are the best house siding option because they fit together tightly to form a weather-proof and sun-proof bond that can take the rain, cold and bright sun that homes in Alpharetta and greater Atlanta experience. Special added ingredients automatically kill the mold and mildew that can sometimes happen after a rainy day in Georgia. You couldn’t ask for a better house siding option than this.

Our expert team of exterior painters make repairs to your home’s exterior before putting on an adhesive sealer coat that protects your home like a glove. The second coat of ceramic coating house paint comes in any of 1,500 colors that will look just as beautiful 25 years later – guaranteed.

Now is the time to make your home gorgeous again. Call Georgia Coatings to get the best house siding option. That’s Rhino Shield ceramic coating house paint.
